Because I did an Arkham "relationship in a nutshell" for Joker and Harley, I wanted to do one for Crane and Toll. Voltaire's "When You're Evil" came to mind to sum it up-- "I'm the fly in your soup // I'm the pebble in your shoe // . . . I'm the peel on which you slip // . . . I'm the thorn in your side // Makes you wriggle and writhe." That song reminds me of Crane in general, anyways, especially "While there's grannies left to trip down the stairs", in reference to his own great grandmother [laughing]. Horrible. One day when I get a laptop with enough RAM to run moviemaker without crashing I'll do a Crane fanvid to it [laughs]. But, yeah. In a nutshell-- Crane is minding his own business and Anna seeks to annoy the hell out of him. Thwarted poke.
Anatomically, I think this is the cutest thing I've done in awhile, especially Anna's pose and the crispness of it. I'm glad I'm enjoying sketching/anatomy/designing again.
